Nguyen Ngoc Tuong, deputy head of Traffic Safety Committee in Ho Chi Minh City, said that from June 14 the Committee will join forces with 20 municipal districts to launch a program whereby citizens will be able to exchange their old helmets for safer and stronger ones.
Citizens can bring in their old helmets to exchange for new safer and stronger helmets at prices subsidized by VND30,000-165,000 per helmet.
The first helmet exchange program will take place in five districts for three days from June 14, from 8am to 7pm. The location in District 1 will be at 5 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, in District 2 at 200 Nguyen Duy Trinh Street, in District 9 at 2/2B Le Van Viet Street, in Binh Thanh District at 114 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, and in Thu Duc District at 238 Vo Van Ngan Street.
The second helmet exchange program will be carried out from June 21 to 23 in Districts 3, 7, 8, and Nha Be District.
