City leaders congratulate senior journalists

A mission team led by Than Thi Thu, member of the Standing Committee and head of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee’s Department of Propaganda and Training went around town yesterday congratulating and praising senior journalists and administrators for the 89th Vietnam Journalism Day on June 21.

Member of the Standing Committee and head of the city Party Committee’s Department of Propaganda and Training Than Thi Thu had a meeting with senior journalist Nguyen Thi Van, former Deputy-Editors-in-Chief of Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper wished Van  good health to contribute to press.

Accompanying with Than Thi Thu were Ly Viet Trung, Deputy-Editors-in-Chief of Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper and Nguyen Van Khanh, an official from the HCM Department of Information and Communications.

Trung informed Van about SGGP’s growth and invited her to a meeting on the occasion of 40th anniversary of the establishment of SGGP newspaper.

Than Thi Thu also visited Dinh Phong, former chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists’ Association on the same day. She wished Phong good health expecting that Phong will continue offering more training courses to inexperienced young journalists.

The team called on Nguyen Son, former deputy chief of HCMC Party Committee’s Department of Propaganda and Training and Woman’s newspaper, Van Nghe newspaper and Saigon Times newspaper.
