On occasion of Christmas and New Year, a delegation led by Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, visited and offered good wishes to the Archbishop of the Christian Community on December 21.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha offered good wishes to the dignitaries and parishioners and wished them a Merry Christmas and peace and happiness for the coming New Year.

She expressed appreciation to the positive contribution of the dignitaries, devotees, parishioners, and the parish to the socio-economic development in the City in the year 2012, and the contributions to the overall development of Ho Chi Minh City.
The delegation also visited and congratulated the Catholic Solidarity Committee and the General Federation of Protestant Churches in HCMC.
On the same morning, the delegation of the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands led by Mr. Tran Viet Hung, Deputy Director, visited and greeted dignitaries, officials, members, parishioners and the Archdiocese of Buon Ma Thuot City and Queen of Peace Monastery in Dak Lak, to wish a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Around 400 child inpatients under cancer treatment at four special hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City were given gifts on the occasion of Christmas, to boost their spirits.
The child patients are under treatment at the Orthopedics Hospital, Children’s Hospital No.2, Oncology Hospital, and Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital.
In Hanoi, volunteers also organized festive events on the occasion of Christmas for giving gifts to 200 child cancer inpatients.
Not only gifts, the inpatients were also photographed next to the Christmas decorations in the hospitals and joined in writing letters to Santa Claus and decorate Christmas hats.
