City leaders receive Australian Consul-General, Angolan Deputy President

Le Thanh Hai, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, on February 13, received John James McAnulty, who has just been announced as the next Consul-General of Australia in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Secretary congratulated him on his new term in office and hoped to further boost friendship, and economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Australia.

Australian Consul-General John James McAnulty affirmed that he will call for Australian enterprises to invest in Vietnam and strengthen cooperation and tourism between the two countries.

In related news, Le Hoang Quan, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, received the Deputy President of Angola, Fernando Dias dos Santos and his wife on the same day.

The Angolan delegation paid a visit to the Vietnam Industrial Rubber Corporation, Phu Rieng Rubber Company Limited and Thuan An Wood Processing Joint Stock Company.

The Angolan Deputy President hoped that the Vietnam Industrial Rubber Corporation will cooperate with rubber enterprises in the Republic of Angola in coming time.
