Ho Chi Minh City should have a fire station every three to five kilometers to shorten the distance and time to fires, said deputy Minister of Public Security, Lt. Gen. Tran Dai Quang on May 7.

He was speaking at a conference on fire prevention and fighting held by the Ho Chi Minh City’s municipal government.
Mr Quang also asked the Fire Service to advice the city’s leaders and the police ministry to build fire stations.
The stations need to ensure a fire station every three to five kilometers, and all districts to have fire services and operations centers, he added.
