Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Le Hoang Quan has met leaders of the Central Trading & Development (CT&D) Corporation, whose investments in Viet Nam, numbering in the dozens, are now taking off.
At the meeting, Arthur Ting, chairman of the CT&D, reported that his corporation’s investment projects in Viet Nam had come to fruition, including the Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone, Hiep Phuoc Power Plant, Sai Gon South Urban Zone, Sino-Pacific Consultancy Company and the Lawrence S.Ting Community Support Fund.
He also said that CT&D’s is, by now, dealing with difficulties caused by slow implementation of its partners and relevant units.
At present, CT&D is waiting for land clearance of some parts in Phu My Hung Urban Zone, the removal of 110 kilovolt transmission lines at Zone A in the urban zone, and land use certificates for its customers.
In respond, the HCMC's People's Committee chairman promised that all difficulties will be surmounted as soon as possible. Commenting on the Phu My Hung Urban Zone, he suggested: “As the most modern urban zone in the country, Phu My Hung ought to be registered for Viet Nam's model urban zone standards, and then the city’s people's committee will help it quickly get the recognition”.
