City presents gifts to disadvantaged children

More than 700 disabled and poor children from 23 charity homes and special schools on May 30 were presented gifts for International Children's Day, June 1, at the Labor Culture Palace in Ho Chi Minh City.

This is annual event held by the director of the Labor Culture Palace and Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper.

With a desire to bring the children a bit of happiness and joy, the organizers also invited singers and artistes to perform at the ceremony.

Nuitfood also provided nutritional food supplements, worth over VND37 million (US$2,000), and Vinamilk presented 48 packages of condensed milk, worth nearly VND10 million, to children’s charities.
