City puts in use major junction in Thu Duc District

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Chairman Le Hoang Quan on Wednesday cut the inaugural ribbon for Go Dua Junction where construction has taken almost eight years.

Go Dua Junction is an important intersection in Thu Duc District, linking National Highway 1A with Phu My Bridge via Binh Thai Crossroads. It is built to ease traffic in Thu Duc District.

My Thuan Project Management Unit had been responsible for construction until 2008. Two years later, construction was resumed by Urban Transport Management Bureau No.2.

The city People’s Committee has recently approved the upgrade of some roads connecting to the junction, and construction of a pedestrian overpass at the major intersection.
