IDICO Infrastructure Development Investment Company will begin the construction in the fourth quarter of this year, according to a contract signed between the Department of Transport and the Company on September 1.

The An Suong-An Lac route on Highway 1A runs through District 12, Hoc Mon and Binh Tan District in HCMC.

One of the flyovers will be built at the intersection of Highway 1A and Road 10 with six lanes, covering a stretch of 802 metres.

The other flyover will be located at the intersection of Highway 1A and Road 10B with four lanes and covering a stretch of 680 metres.

IDICO also has exclusive rights to collect the road toll on the An Suong-An Lac route until September 2033, once the flyovers on the route and upgrade of Highway 1A are complete.

Truong Quang Phuong, director of Department of Transport said that the two flyover bridges will contribute a great deal to easing the traffic congestion on Highway 1A.
