City to construct two more major flyovers

Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Le Hoang Quan  on April 4 surveyed construction of two steel flyovers that are due to begin construction on April 27.

Chairman Quan has asked the Department of Transport not to cut any trees, quickly deal with any problems related to the underground infrastructure in Cay Go Circle, the intersections at Cong Hoa-Hoang Hoa Tham Street and Nguyen Tri Phuong-Ba Thang Hai-Ly Thai Streets, so as to speed up construction.

The first flyover at the intersection of Ba Thang Hai-Nguyen Tri Phuong will be 388 meters long and 9.5 meters wide and will cost more than VND293 billion. The second flyover at Cay Go Circle in the direction of Ba Thang Hai Street will cost around VND463.9 billion.

The Department has also been asked to ensure the quality of public lighting and traffic safety on the flyovers.
