The Emergency Air Command Post in Ho Chi Minh City will coordinate with Vietnam Airlines Corporation and Tan Son Nhat International Airport to run a mock drill on a possible terrorist attack, hostage saving, explosive disarming and rescue operations at the International Terminal of Tan Son Nhat Airport on Saturday.

More than 1,000 people from many departments and units and 44 local and international carriers which are providing services at Tan Son Nhat International Airport will participate in the rehearsal in which modern vehicles and equipment, including disarming devices, signal jammers, fire trucks, explosives and chemical weapons detectors and two robots will be used.

At the press conference to present the rehearsal on Thursday, organizers announced the pretentious situation in which a group of 15 terrorists pretending to be passengers arrive at the airport carrying luggage packed with explosives and weapons. At the airport security gate, security forces find a military handgun on an individual which compels them to take action.
