Consul General of Singapore bids farewell to HCMC

Pong Kok Tian, Consul General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City, bid a final farewell to leaders in Ho Chi Minh City on June 18, at the end of his tenure.

During a meeting with Le Thanh Hai, Party Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City, both leaders spoke of strengthened cooperation and high achievements made in fields like economy, trade, tourism, education, training and culture.

Le Thanh Hai wished Pong Kok Tian much success in his future missions and hoped that cooperation between the two countries would be further strengthened in many fields in the future.

In related news, on the same day, Le Hoang Quan, Chairman of People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting with a high level delegation of the U.S Department of Health, led by Kathleen G.Sebeliush.

At the meeting, Chairman Le Hoang Quan appreciated the cooperation programs run by the U.S. Department of Health with Vietnam and thanked the United States for the various drugs treatment programs and HIV / AIDS prevention programs.
