Dengue fever outbreak still plagues HCMC

A center of Health Education and Media under the Department of Health in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday said that though the rainy season ends, the number of dengue fever people still increase in 11 districts of the city. Five people have succumbed to the disease since the season.

Accordingly the city health sector has implemented prevention measures to curb infection cases and the fatalities.

Currently the city is implementing the campaign to vaccinate 23 million children aged 1 to 14 against measles and rubella and this program will run until March, 2015.
