Deputy PM Trong made this plea on his visit to Da Phuoc Waste Solid Treatment Complex on April 17.
The Da Phuoc Waste Treatment Complex in Binh Chanh District of Ho Chi Minh City currently treats half the total garbage volume of the city, approximately 3,000 tons per day, according to David Duong, general director of Vietnam Waste Solution (VWS).
Vietnam Waste Solution (VWS) - a 100% foreign investment company built the Da Phuoc Waste Solid Treatment Complex.
The Waste Treatment Complex, built with a total investment capital of US$90 million in the first phase and US$60 million in the second phase covers 127 hectares.
Its landfill sites are located in isolated areas and its garbage-water holes are safe. If the worst should happen, such as an overflow on rainy days, the company will pump the garbage water back into huge garbage-burying holes.
