This station will be located at the commercial center and parking lot adjacent to Cach Mang Thang Tam Street and Nguyen Du Street in Ben Thanh Ward, about 8 km from Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
According to the master plan approved by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the city is expected to set up an interchange station connecting directly with No. 2 subway station of Thu Thiem - Ben Thanh - Tham Luong. The station will be connected with Thu Thiem - Long Thanh light rail line to Long Thanh International Airport in the future.
With this transit station, passengers can check in at the city center. Passengers and luggage will be under security control from the time of check in, during the way to airport until the arrival and entering into the isolation area of Tan Son Nhat airport.
This is a model that has been implemented in many countries around the world but has yet applied in Vietnam.
Representatives of the ACV said that if the project will be approved, the investor (Indochina Group) would work with the relevant authorities to deal with related legal issues, including immigration, aviation service license ...
