By the end of this year Ho Chi Minh City should have 300 gas-powered taxis.

Besides being cleaner than petrol, gas is cheaper. For instance, a seven-seat taxis can save three dollars for each distance of 100 kilometers if it is gas-powered.

A vehicle will use between 12 and 17 liters of gas for 100 km.

Technically, gas is used in the same was as petrol. All that a driver needs to do is to switch over to petrol if he runs out of gas.
