German oks UER2 mil for training personnel for metro in Vietnam

German’s deputy mister Jan Mucke told Ho Chi Minh City leader that his country has approved EUR2 million for training people for the second metro (route Ben Thanh – Tham Luong) at a meeting with the city leader on September 8.

Mr.Jan Mucke who led the delegation comprising officials of German’s Ministry of Construction thanked city leaders to create favorite condition on which Germany could construct the metro route. He affirmed Germany companies enable to resolve urban development problems such as of slowly developed infrastructure, polluted environment and problems in traffic the city is facing.

On his part, the deputy chairman of HCMC People’s Committee, Nguyen Thanh Tai, highly appreciated the potential, technologies as well as experience in management and urban construction of German.

Mr. Tai hoped that German will help the city to resolve current urban development problems as the city is the most developed urban in the country.

The deputy chairman applauded German’s contribution to the city metro construction, adding that he hoped German would take part in the building of other metro routes in Vietnam.
