HCM City gets new vice chairman

Mr. Le Minh Tri was elected a deputy chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee at a meeting of the city People’s Council December 9.

Mr Tri, 49, who hails from Cu Chi District, polled 66 out of 71 votes.

He is currently a member of the city Party Committee, deputy secretary of the District 1 Party Committee, and chairman of the District 1 People’s Committee.

He replaces vice chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, who has been appointed as head of the city Party Committee’s personnel board.

Also at the meeting, office manager of the city People’s Committee, Vo Van Luan, 54, also from Cu Chi District, was elected as a member of the People’s Committee with 69 out of 71 votes.
