HCM City to facilitate int’l cooperation

Ho Chi Minh City leaders have pledged to exert more efforts to provide the most favorable conditions to exchanges and cooperation with international and foreign agencies, organizations and businesses.

The municipal People’s Committee and People’s Council Chairpersons, Le Hoang Quan and Pham Phuong Thao, made the commitment at a party held in the city on Aug. 31 to representatives of diplomatic corps, foreign businesses and organizations and non-government organizations in the city on the occasion of the National Day of Vietnam (Sept. 2).

Quan praised effective contributions by foreign and international businesses and organizations to the city’s development in recent years and expressed his hopes that the city would continue to receive their support and active cooperation.

On behalf of guests at the party, Malaysian Consul General to HCM City Khairi Omar praised the city’s achievements in recent years and expressed his hope that the city would continue to develop and gain more progress in the future.

On the occasion of Vietnam’s National Day, Khairi Omar also expressed his belief that Vietnam would obtain more achievements in national development and praised the country’s active cooperation within ASEAN.
