HCM City’s leader meets president of French National Assembly

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong hosted a reception on March 21 for President of the National Assembly of France Claude Bartolone on the occasion of his official visit to Vietnam.

The chairman noticed that the municipal authorities have been very interested in climate change response, such as including issues regarding inundation, environmental pollution.

The city’s goal is to upgrade its urban infrastructure and improve people’s living standards, he added.

He also appreciated highly France’s experience in infrastructure management and hoped that the city will receive support for urban development from French investors.

President of the National Assembly of France Claude Bartolone believed relations between Vietnam and France that will boost cooperation in various areas of the two countries.
