Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong hoped that new heads of Vietnam's overseas representative offices will help the city to promote its cooperation potentials with new partners, especially in the innovation and creativity and building smart city.
He said the representative offices must serve as bridges of cooperation between the city and foreign countries, and attract overseas Vietnamese to contribute in building the country and HCM City.
The municipal government plans to organize promotional programs and cultural exchanges in foreign countries to motivate them to cooperate with the city.
