Initially they will be used on routes between Mien Tay (west) bus station in Binh Tan District and Thu Duc farm produce market and Tan Huong in Tan Phu District to Suoi Tien in District 9.

Hoang Sy Thang, chairman of PetroVietnam Southern Gas Joint Stock Company (PV Gas South) said at a seminar December 18 that two CNG fuel stations would be set up at the beginning of next year at a cost of VND160 billion (about $9.7 million).

PV Gas South has said it costs VND500,000 for a bus to travel 100km on diesel but just 343,000 on CNG.
