HCMC checks public restroom building

Deputy Chairman of People’s Committee in Ho Chi Minh City Tran Vinh Tuyen yesterday led a delegation to check construction progress of public toilets.

The delegation checked two toilets in Cau Dua Park and Khanh Hoi Park in district 4 which are piloted ones with simple but state-of-the-art design in conformity with the urban landscape. These toilets are constructed in parks to meet demand of visitors to parks.

There are two different sections for male and female especially one section can be served for disabled people. The construction project of public restrooms is funded to serve public interest. The project planned to build 1,000 public toilets, 10 specific tank trucks and 1,000 waste bins in these toilets.

The deputy chairman of the municipal administration shared that construction of public restrooms will benefit users; accordingly, he proposed local authorities to ensure security order and prevent social evils; additionally, local administrations must ask managing unit to clean these toilets. Toilet’s design should be airy.
