HCMC conducts survey on standard of living

People's Committee in Ho Chi Minh City has sent its document to agencies and chairpersons of people's committees in districts about carrying out a survey of  living standard as per a decree of the General Statistics Office of Vietnam under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

According to the survey plan set by the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, the survey is under the form of multiple-choice survey.

The aim of the survey is to collect information of residents' living standard for valuating the gap between the rich and the poor, making policies to raise residents' living standard.

Under the document of the city's People's Committee, the chairman of People Committee in HCMC asked district governments to well liaise with the statistics sector to conduct the survey. The city Department of Statistics is responsible for the survey; hence it must work with related agencies and people's committees in districts.

Additionally, the statistics sector should coordinate with the organizations to release the information of the survey as well as its goal and importance to residents.
