At a conference hosted recently to review the city’s agriculture last year, Mr. Liem said that because of limited farming land area, HCMC would focus on improving the quality of dairy cow herds in stead of quantity which has touched 100,000 cows so far.

The committee tasked HCMC Biotechnology Center and Hi-Tech Agricultural Park to collect, multiply and create new orchid varieties by cross-breeding to meet growing demand of farmers.
