HCMC health sector asks to increase medical workers in Lunar New Year

The Department of Health in Ho Chi Minh City asked hospital leaders to assign medical workers to take turns  in treating patients during Lunar New Year ( Tet holiday) which is 8 days away.

As per the direction, hospitals must prepare equipment, medicines and blood supply enough for treatment in these days. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Phu, deputy director of People’s Hospital 115, the hospital asked more than 50 medical workers to do duty around a clock in Tet holiday and hundreds of blood unit are reserved for emergency cases.

Nguyen Tien Linh, deputy head of the Trauma and Orthopedics Hospital said that the hospital will increase more medical workers to do duty in emergency room in Lunar New Year this year.

In response to cases from fire, disaster, Trung Vuong Hospital was asked to work around a clock with other counterparts to provide ambulance to the spots.

The Department of Health noted that hospital to pay attention to food poisoned cases and accident victims.
