Le Hoang Quan, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, on February 21 received a delegation of American businesses in Singapore, led by David Adelman, U.S. Ambassador to Singapore.
Currently the US ranks eighth among countries investing in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the municipal Department of Planning and Investment, the city has attracted more than 4,000 foreign investment projects of total capital value of more than VND32 billion, from 1988 to 2011, in which real estate accounted for 34.6 per cent and manufacturing 12.5 per cent.
The city is inviting foreign businesses to invest in industrial parks, railroads, bridges and road ways.
