According to Chairman of the HUFO, Tran Hung Viet, the UK ranks 14th among 82 countries and territories investing in Vietnam.
As of April 2018, Vietnam's export turnover to the UK reached US$1.75 billion, up 30 percent compared to the same time period in 2017; the country’s import turnover from the UK approached US$238 million, increased by 17.6 percent compared with the same month of the previous year.
For his part, UK Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Ian Gibbons also affirmed that high-level visits by leaders of both countries and educational exchanges have contributed to the successful UK-Vietnam relationship.
