HCMC needs 148,000 skillful workers ảnh 1For the third quarter of 2018, the city has 78,000 vacancies for employees. Quarter 4 of 2018, the city needs to recruit more 70,000 skillful workers. The most urgent of occupations are mechanical, architectural - construction engineering, information technology, transportation - warehousing - import - export, automobile - motor technology, management, accounting audit, chemical - chemical, service - service ...

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan estimated that in the labor market situation from the beginning of the year until now, the demand for human resources increased 24.41% over the same period in 2017. Meanwhile, the total demand for employment of laborers increased by 52%. This is due to the fact that the graduates from universities and colleges have fulfilled the need of human resources of the city and contributed to increasing the competition between experienced laborers and new comers, he added.

The worth noticing point is that, stated Mr. Tuan, statistics from nearly 69,000 people who are looking for work show that 82% of the job seekers in Ho Chi Minh City have got university or college diploma levels. The figure shows that the employment situation of those graduated from universities and colleges are still in difficulties against the labor market context of "redundancy of teachers, lack of workers”.

Contrary to the employment difficulties of universities and college students, most students and graduates from vocational schools in Ho Chi Minh City manage to get jobs immediately with high salaries; even in many schools of multiple sectors, 100% learners are employed after graduation
