HCMC offers Tet gifts to welfare brackets, poor, ethnic minority families

People’s Committee Deputy Chairman Le Van Khoa led a delegation to give gifts 4 families in the top welfare brackets, poor families and ethnic minority families on the occasion of Tet holidays (Lunar New Year).

Dropping by the house of Ms. Tran Thi Duong and Nha Thi Tieng both are 100 years old in Phu Nhuan District, Mr. Khoa said that the city is always grateful for sacrifice of her husband and sons in the country’s revolutions. Mr. Khoa wished both to be healthy and happy.

On the same day, the delegation also visited two disadvantaged families including Mohamach Jacop of Cham ethnic minority and Vo Thanh Loc in Phu Nhuan District.

On the behalf of the city authority, Mr. Khoa encouraged Mohamach and Loc to overcome difficulties which they are facing. Mr. Khoa urged the local government to help them to escape poverty.
