HCMC Party Secretary visits SGGP office in Hanoi

Le Thanh Hai, party secretary of Ho Chi Minh City and member of the Politburo, along with members of the HCMC National Assembly present at the 3rd NA session, visited the Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper office in Hanoi to offer greetings on the occasion of the 87th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Journalism Day.

Le Thanh Hai, party secretary of Ho Chi Minh City and member of the Politburo, along with members of the HCMC National Assembly present at the 3rd NA session, visited the Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper office in Hanoi to offer greetings on the occasion of the 87th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Journalism Day.

Mr. Hai praised the efforts of SGGP in creating the right news impact and said that the HCMC Party Committee and leaders always supported SGGP Newspaper and hoped that the newspaper would continue to develop.

He added that he was glad to learn that the representative office in Hanoi of SGGP Newspaper has 13 Party members, thus strengthening the policies of the Party organization.

Mr. Hai urged that all written material that SGGP Newspaper provides to its readers must not only be accurate but also richer in quality and more appealing.

He asked that SGGP Newspaper should focus on building teams of reporters, editors who have professional mastery and political will, who are sensitive and quick to grasp new fields. He reminded the staff of SGGP Newspaper to seriously follow the morals of Uncle Ho and comply with the provisions of law and the resolutions of the Party.

SGGP editor-in-chief Nguyen Tan Phong reported to Party Secretary Le Thanh Hai on the activities of the SGGP Newspaper and the Representative Office in Hanoi. He also thanked him for his deep concern for SGGP Newspaper.

Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Tan Phong stressed that in the future, SGGP will promote the traditional values and strong points that are required to overcome shortcomings by increasing circulation, advertising, particularly in the Northern Provinces.

On the same day, Editor-in-Chief Phong spoke with Mr. Ho Quang Loi, director of the Hanoi Party Propaganda and Education Committee, who on behalf of Hanoi leaders visited and sent greetings to the staff of SGGP Newspaper in Hanoi.
