HCM City received a grant of US$27.2 million funded by foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as of May, 2018, according to a report of the HCM City Union of Friendship Originations at the annual meeting with NGOs in the city on June 7.

There are 160 licensed foreign NGOs in HCMC, including 67 organizations from America, 61 organizations from Europe, 30 organizations from Asia-Pacific and 2 organizations from Africa.
