HCMC strives to improve real estate market

Prospective buyers look at model housing plans

The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has requested the City Construction Department and related agencies to submit to the standing committee a plan for a fund raising project to build social benefit and resettlement houses, repair badly damaged apartment blocks, and upgrade urban areas in the first quarter of 2012.

The HCMC People’s Committee insists that the project must positively improve the existing situation in the real estate market in the city while quickly satisfying housing needs of citizens, besides also focusing on revamping community buildings.

In addition, the Committee has asked concerned agencies to come up with an effective and realistic plan to implement the project so as to ensure benefits for the government, investors and citizens. It also encouraged authorities to create more suitable policies to buy-back existing houses from residents of the city and attract more investors.
