With the starting price of VND167 billion (US$7.16 million), three businesses have won the bid at the price of VND224 billion ($9.6 million).
These 200 apartments belong to Phu My 2 resettlement site, invested by Duc Khai Company. HCMC allocated land for the company to build the project in 2009. It was built and put into operation in 2014 with over 1,000 apartments.
Duc Khai Company has handed over 470 apartments to the city to resettle households living in and alongside Te Canal and other canals in District 7. Of these, 270 apartments have been dwelled while 200 ones have been in no need of use so the city decided to auction them.
At present, the center is awaiting official decision from HCMC People’s Committee to continue auctioning 3,790 apartments at Thu Thiem resettlement area which unsuccessfully sold at auction in February at the starting price of VND9.1 trillion ($389.76 million).
