The junction will be built under BOT (Built-Operate-Transfer) form from 2015 to 2017.
It will stretch 2.7 kilometers with two separate parts of road for vehicles to move from the boulevard to the expressway and in the reverse direction. Each part will comprise two lanes.
At present, vehicles from Vo Van Kiet Boulevard have to move into the National Highway 1A in Binh Chanh District, where traffic jam regularly occurs during peak time, before entering the expressway.
The Ho Chi Minh-Trung Luong Expressway links HCMC up to the Mekong Delta provinces of Long An, Tien Giang and others.
