Tree planting will cover 977 hectares on forest land, parks, and along rivers and canals.

HCMC authorities have asked relevant departments to provide detailed plans of parks, urban and industrial areas.

The municipal government aims to increase forestation and green cover across the city, recover bio-diversity, protect the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve in Can Gio District and decrease environmental pollution.
