HCMC urges Binh Tan district to develop 3,500 businesses

Deputy chairman of the city People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem yesterday required fastest urbanizing Binh Tan district to focus on business development and attempt to establish an extra of 3,500 businesses in the upcoming time.

Following a string of the city People’s committee’s working visits with districts recently, chairman of the committee Nguyen Thanh Phong continued meeting District 1 leaders, asking them to put an end to the illegal operation of coaches and stations as well as pavement and roadbed encroachment this year on the same day.

The district is scheduled to upgrade 300 business households with revenue of over VND4 billion (US$176,000) a year into businesses and strive to obtain budget revenue of VND13 trillion ($574 million).
