HCMC’s leaders honored for foreign affairs activities

A ceremony honoring leaders of Ho Chi Minh City who had outstanding contribution to the Party's external relations was held in the city on July 9.

Head of the Party Central Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan presented Medals for the Party's External Relations to Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Thien Nhan; former Secretary of city Party Committee Le Thanh Hai; Deputy Standing Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee, Tat Thanh Cang; Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, Nguyen Thanh Phong; former Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Hoang Quan; former Deputy Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Van Dua; Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam; and Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Vo Thi Dung .
Speaking at the ceremony, Head of the Party Central Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan honored the contribution of Ho Chi Minh City and its leaders to the external relations of the Party and State; and the city’s effectiveness of coordination with the Party Central Commission for External Relations to implement the foreign affairs activities in HCMC and nationwide.
Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong expressed his honor to receive the award, saying HCMC identifies that the foreign affairs activities will be the key mission in 2018. The city’s government hopes to receive the guidance and coordination from the Party Central Commission for External Relations and leaders of the Party and Government in implementing lines and policies of the foreign affairs activities in localities.
