High ranking delegation of HCMC starts working visit to Netherlands, Germany

A high ranking delegation of Ho Chi Minh City led by secretary of the city Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan last night started a working visit to the Netherlands and Germany.


The delegation comprises director of Vietnam National University HCMC Huynh Thanh Dat, deputy chairman of the city People’s Committee Tran Vinh Tuyen, leaders of agencies and scientists of the city.

In the Netherlands, the delegation expects to share experience and seek bilateral cooperation opportunities in the fields of water management and climate change adaptation and Public Private Partnership (PPP) application in public infrastructure projects.

In addition, they will learn about the way of planning, operation and cooperation in smart and innovative urban area development, smart urban solutions; sign agreements and memorandum of understandings in PPP initiatives for the city's sustainable anti-flooding plan.

In Germany, they will find out about technology trends and the cooperation between the Government and training or research institutes and businesses in key development fields, especially artificial intelligence (AI) and automation.

The delegation is scheduled to attend a roundtable conference with Dutch firms and a seminar with German enterprises to share information about investment and the Innovation District project in HCMC.
