Following complaints by its workers to the media that they have not been paid wages for several months, the Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (CII) has pledged to pay them soon.
The president and CEO of the company, Le Lang, told Sai Gon Giai Phong December 9 that the company would pay all outstanding wages and other dues to the workers by December 20.
The company has won bids for several infrastructure works, he said.
He also promised the company would pay workers Tet (lunar New Year) bonuses of VND10 million (around US$540) on average.
The New Year falls on February 14, 2010.
