International Women’s Day Celebrated with Support for Businesswomen

Over VND19 billion has been loaned to many businesswomen to support their business operations, reported the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union in a meeting held on March 4, 2006.

The meeting was jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Women’s Union and attended by nearly 200 businesswomen.

On behalf of the city’s leaders, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Tin praised the businesswomen for their contribution to the building and development of the city.

Besides, the vice chairman also hoped that the businesswomen will continue to enrich their expertise and knowledge, and invest more in modern equipment to improve their product’s quality, aiming at building a strong brand name in the domestic and international markets.

The city’s Women’s Union has organized 21 training courses to provide 733 small and medium-scale enterprises the necessary managerial and business communications skills.

Currently, there are 17 clubs for businesswomen under the auspices of the union.

On this occasion, the Director Board of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Club for Businesswomen made it official debut.
