Japan & HCMC strengthen infrastructure development cooperation

At the reception, Secretary Le Thanh Hai affirmed that Vietnam and Japan had promoted comprehensive cooperation in the previous times. He appreciated effective and active supports of Japan through providing official development assistance (ODA) loans for Vietnam; implementing Vietnam’s economic restructuring project; infrastructure, health and education development; and dealing with climate change.

On behalf of the Japanese government, Japanese Deputy Minister Kazuhiko Aoki said that the visit aims to strengthen further comprehensive cooperation between Japan and Vietnam through building underground trade center and other projects in metro terminals such as Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro route.

At the meeting, both two sides focused on discussing opportunities to tighten further Vietnamese- Japanese relations in general and HCMC- Japan relation in particular.
