March for Victims of Agent Orange

Over 5,000 volunteers, members of Red Cross Societies in districts, residents and students took part in the program of March for victims of Agent Orange and poor people with disabilities in Dam Sen Park in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday.

The event was co-organized by the Red Cross Society in HCMC , VTV branch in HCMC, the medic development company, sport center of district 11 and Dam Sen Park.
With the message “ Please never forget them – Your contribution will bring them confidence in life”, the event aimed to raise fund to take care of these people and improve their living condition.
It was attended by Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Vo Thi Dung, Honorable President of the city Red Cross Society Tran Quoc Hung, and Nguyen Thi To Chau from the HCMC Party Committee.
At the march, people were encouraged to contribute to the fund for people in flooded areas by texting VL through the National Humanitarian Portal 1400 ; each mobile text message will contribute VND20,000 to the fund. A box will be placed in front of state headquarters, crossroads to receive donation in cash.
People can also send their donation to the Red Cross Society’s headquarter at 201 Nguyen Thi Mminh Khai Street in district 1. Cash donation can be sent to the society’s account No. 731950 of Asia Commercial Bank while people living overseas can send to the account No. 812439 at Asia Commercial Bank - Vietnam, with Swift code ASCBVNVX.
