More apartments handed over to resettled residents

The Management Board of the Thu Thiem New Urban Area on Monday handed over another 620 resettlement apartments to residents of District 2 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The residents had been living in a temporary 17.3 hectare resettlement area in An Phu-Binh Khanh Ward.

So far, 1,132 of a total of 12,500 apartments under the resettlement project have been handed over to people evacuated from five central wards of the Thu Thiem New Urban Area.
 
81-year-old Doan Thi Ut said that she was so happy to move into a new and modern accommodation.

Speaking at a ceremony to hand over the apartments, Le Thanh Hai, Secretary of the City Party Committee expressed his gratitude to the residents who had patiently cooperated and evacuated their homes so that the development project of the new urban area in the city could take place.

Mr. Hai asked the District 2 People’s Committee to help residents settle into their new homes.
