Numerous activities for children on Mid-Autumn launched

Ho Chi Minh City is launching full of activities to celebrate the Mid Autum Full Moon Festival which falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month (September 15).

Accordingly, a children’s art performance titled “Dances of Mid-Autumn's night” will be organized at Gia Dinh Park Circus Theater in Go Vap District on September 15, 17, 18 by the Phuong Nam (Southern) Art Theater.

Children will join a lantern procession with two legendary characters – Cuoi, the Moon Boy and Miss Hang, and enjoy performance by circus artists.

Meanwhile the HCM City Children’s House is organizing a mid-autumn festival for about 500 disadvantaged children from residential blocks, social center, open houses in the city from September 14-15. The event features a series of activities, including lantern processions, music, circus, kylin and dargon, folk and sport games.

Children will welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival with a giant lantern and a range of exciting activities that will take place at Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11 from September 14-15.

The annual 7th “Beloved Mid-autumn festival” is organized for 2,500 poor children in cities and provinces, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Lam Dong, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Lai Chau, Cao Bang and Ha Giang by the Understanding of the Heart Fund and the Vietnam Communist Youth Union.

The HCMC’s event that took place at the Merperle Crystal Palace in District 7 on September 9 offered gifts to 520 children in districts, 6,7,8, Tan Binh, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan and Hoc Mon with the participation of actresses Truong Ngoc Anh and Than Thuy Ha, the first runner-up of Miss Coastal Vietnam Global 2015 Kim Nguyen, the second runner-up of 2015 Miss Ao Dai Vietnam beauty contest Le Quyen, Miss Vietnam 2008 Thuy Dung.

Celebrities also joined charitable activities supporting child patients infected with HIV and AIDS, and children of SOS village and Mai Anh School.
