Phu Long Bridge took three years for completion, and will connect Ha Huy Giap Street in District 12 of HCMC with Highway 13 in Thuan An town of Binh Duong Province.

The bridge, built at a cost of VND898 billion (US$43 million) will allow heavy trucks to ply at a maximum speed of 80 kilometres an hour.

Earlier people commuted along Highway 1A that connected District 12 in HCMC with Binh Duong Province, which took ten times longer than it will on the Phu Long Bridge.
