Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program to arrive in HCMC

Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) carrying 329 delegates from 10 ASEAN countries and Japan including 10 delegates from Vietnam will dock at Cat Lai Port in district 2, HCMC on November 17, issued the Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union at a press conference yesterday.

After arriving in Cat Lai Port, the delegation will join many cultural exchange activities during five days in the city such as paying a courtesy to the city’s leaders; visiting to Ho Chi Minh City Museum, Ben Duoc Memorial Temple and Cu Chi Tunnels; enjoying water puppetry; meeting with local youth and experience home-stays.

The ship is scheduled to leave the city on November 21.

Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program is a cooperative program between 10 ASEAN member countries and Japanese Government since 1974, aiming to strengthen friendship and diplomatic relations among countries. Vietnam officially participated in SSEAYP in 1995.
