The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on June 17 received a delegation from Taiwan (China) including 20 companies and 15 press agencies, coming to do a travel market research in the city and some southern provinces.
During their stay from June 17-19, the delegation will meet with leaders from HCMC, Binh Duong and Dong Nai Provinces, and the Taiwanese Investor Association.
They will visit some industrial zones in the provinces and tourist destinations in the city.
Authorized agencies will inform the delegation about the city’s policies to attract foreign investment and invite Taiwanese companies to attend in International Travel Expo 2014, which will take place in September.
HCMC have made a lot of efforts to diversify tourist products and advertise its tourist destinations to Chinese speaking communities.
Last year the city received more than 4.1 million international visitors and it is expected to see 4.4 million this year.
Taiwanese market is listed in the top ten of by air visitors to HCMC.
