Vietnamese veterans who used the Truong Son Trail (also known as Ho Chi Minh Trail) told a bunch of students in Ho Chi Minh City about their precious memories of the historic Trail at an exchange held at the HCMC Museum on May 5.

The students expressed curiosity about the legend of Truong Son walking sticks, the secret tunnel under the river, and the way the soldiers lived during the war.

They also expressed admiration for the veterans’ bravery.

In related news, a documentary pictures exhibition on the Dien Bien Phu battlefield opened at the city’s South East Region Armed Forces Museum on the same day.

More than 110 pictures are on display at “The Dien Bien Phu – History and Today” exhibition, of which some are on public display for the very first time.

A set of pictures of President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap made of sand is also on show.
