Unseasonal rain to continue in HCMC

Unseasonal rain will continue today and for the next few days, resulting in flooding in parts of Ho Chi Minh City, said Le Thi Xuan Lan from the Southern Regional Hydro Meteorological Centre on Wednesday.

According to the City Steering Committee for the Urban Flood Control Programme, the sudden and long-lasting downpour on Wednesday inundated at least nine areas in the city under 10-20cm of water.

The worst affected areas were Au Co Street in District 11, Dong Den and Bau Cat Streets in Tan Binh District, Tan Huong and Truong Vinh Ky Streets in Tan Phu District and Nguyen Van Qua in District 12 which were under 20-30cm of water.
